Former Holland international Roy Makaay considers Argentina the best team on display in South Africa so far.
Question marks hung over Argentina, or to be more accurate, about the coaching capabilities of Diego Maradona.
Those questions have changed into exclamations as the Albiceleste have dazzled in winning all four matches they've played so far.

Speaking to fifa.com, Makaay said: "The tournament's not really caught fire yet. We've had a couple of terrific games, but quite a few poor ones too. But I think it's beginning to change now we're in the knockout stages, and the games will be increasingly attractive.

The influential youngster will have to serve his one-match ban…

By K.N.S Mensah

29-Jun-2010 5:17:00 PMThe FIFA disciplinary committee has thrown out an appeal by the Ghana FA to reverse a one-match ban against key midfielder Andre Ayew.

The youngster was booked for the second time in the World Cup during the match against USA, automatically barring him from featuring in the quarter-final clash against Uruguay on Friday.

Immediately after the match the Ghana FA requested to have referee Viktor Kassai’s decision looked into again and overturned after television replays showed that Ayew did not make any contact with
US striker Josy Altidore.

But the FIFA disciplinary committee pointed out that according to Article 72 of the FIFA Disciplinary Code, disciplinary decisions taken by the referee during matches are final.

“However, according to article 77 b) of the FDC, the disciplinary committee is responsible for rectifying obvious errors in the referee’s disciplinary decisions.

According to sources, the party for Sam (whose birthday was June 18, during the U.S. Open) was scheduled for 4 p.m. Saturday and was to last two hours.

Tiger didn't show up until 4:55, however, and he brought his office manager Kathy and another woman with him, making Elin Woods understandably angry.
Fortunately, "they put aside their differences for the good of their daughter when a big birthday cake rolled in," a source familiar with the situation revealed.
